Title and URL Error in Breadcrumb Navigation for Custom Post Types

I have this code I got from here on StackOverflow. It works great across my wordpress site but the problem is that on the custom post type single pages, the parent category's link it fetches for every custom post type links to the current post itself and not the parent category link. Again, the title it fetches for same category has some descriptions attached to the anchor (title).

For example: Home Category: Books Things Fall Apart In this case, when I click on books, it leads to the current page of things fall apart.

I have tried my best to work on the code but it is'nt correcting. The code was posted more than Two years ago, please help me.
