I know from the web interface, you can send messages to up to 10 people. However, I haven't figured out how to send an SMS message to multiple people using the Google Voice Android app. Is it possible? If it is, how?
Just recently I've missed a few text messages via Google Voice because the alert hasn't come through. As soon as I open the app the backed up messages arrive and trigger the alert. I have background notifications turned on (or at least I think I have - Background data is "enabled") Any ideas?
I love Google Voice, but I don't want people calling me to be asked to say their name and I don't want to be told to "press one" to accept their calls. I just want to get my calls. Is there a way to disable that feature?
When I receive a text message to my Google voice number, I get a notification from my text application, as well as the Google Voice application. It would seem that the message is being forwarded to my cell number, but I've turned off text forwarding in the Voicemail & Text settings. Is there another setting that I am missing?
I'd like to be able to set, at the contact level, which phone number is used to dial out. For example, I'd like to be able to set it so calls to my boss use Google Voice by default where as calls to my family use my cell number. Any suggestions?
I would like to send text messages via Google Voice, as it is the number I give out for voice calls. However, I find sending SMS through the Voice app to be a bit cumbersome. The new widgets improve this somewhat, but it is still awkward. I would prefer something with an interface more like Handcent or ChompSMS. Are there any other apps that support sending SMS via Google Voice?
The "UpdateService" for Google Voice constantly keeps getting stuck on "restarting" and therefore I miss out on receiving SMS messages from Google Voice. I've already been trimming down on some unnecessary services and it doesn't seem like it has helped a whole lot. Any other suggestions or thoughts about this problem? I'm currently running CM6, but it happened before on stock too.
I work third shift so I sleep during the day but I get calls all day long so I shut my ringer off. I would like to be able to set a couple phone numbers that can ring through no matter what. Using Google Voice to do this won't work because I get calls directly to my cell # as well as to Google Voice.
