How can I add and manage contacts on a SIM card with an Android phone (HTC Magic)? I'm aware of 1 application which is capable of doing this but it cost 4€ for SIMPLY managing SIM contacts o_O

I'd like to merge contacts from different sources -- i.e., imported contacts from phone, from sim card, and from my gmail account -- and upload the ultimate contact on my gmail account. For instance, I know someone's mail adress using my gmail account, and I import his phone number from the sim card. My goal is to update the contact on the GMail account, in order to have also his phone on internet (it's the perfect backup). Is it possible …

I'd like to know if android phones are sim-locked. Given that they are open-source and have community images it should be 'tricky' to sim-lock one but I prefere to ask. Also - do I need to unlock if I use dual-sim adapter with one legal card in it?
