I want to enable the Wifi Access Point (AP) functionality on my Moto Droid. I don't mind rooting but I'd like to do this without having to edit the kernel or having to flash the ROM. Is there a way for WiFi-tethering without root access. I mean before Froyo. I have HTC Hero 2.1, and frankly, I don't want to root it for security reasons.
