I'm aware of the fact that the standard contacts/calendar app does not support birthdates synchronization (Android issue 1211). But may be there is some third-party software which can make those synchronized for me?
HTC directly updated over-the-air (OTA) from 1.5 android to 2.1 android firmware on my handset. Since that time, the touch-screen (which is miscalibrated) can no longer be recalibrated, because the menu item has disappeared. I have, of course, requested support from HTC via email, but I doubt that they will find an answer here, and I suspect my phone is now junk, unless some enterprising Phone-savvy person can figure out how to restore this thing. Located in China I've been waiting forever for the HTC Hero update to Android 2.1. However now everywhere around the world people are getting it. I do get the occasional update, and then I get prompted to reset the phone, however when I reset it the update does not get installed (missing update.zip on SD card?) Or maybe I have to relocate to England? Could I fake this with a VPN/proxy? If so how could I set this up? Cheers
I want to try different versions of the Android OS on my HTC Hero (namely 2.2) but be able to revert back to the stock image. What are the steps required to do this? How can I extract the stock image from my handset? I am on T-Mobile UK if that makes any difference.
I've just had my HTC Hero upgraded to Android 2.1, and I have heard about the Car Home function, which sounds great for when I use the new Google Maps Navigation in my car. However, this doesn't seem to be on my phone. Is that because of HTC installing HTC Sense? If so, can I get Car Home back again?
