I am on call sometimes and I am getting SMS and email from our systems. The sender is an email to SMS gateway that is unique to this and always the same, the messages start with the same words. I need to be woken up by them, but right now, that isn't happening. I use Locale, and the Locale "Inbound SMS" Plug-in, but that does not seem to be working yet (with a test account, it does not go full …
I have setup three alarms on my HTC Desire (running standard 2.1 with Sense). Mo, Tu, We, Fr @ 05:45 Th @ 05:30 Sa @ 07:00 They are set as repeating alarms and the phone displays the little clock symbol in the top right corner indicating that an alarm is active. I have been running the phone with DeskClock activated each night and this also says that there is an alarm active for 05:45 the next morning. However I have …
I have at least one alarm set to go off daily so the "alarm clock" icon on my notification bar is really pointless. Is there a way to make this icon hidden in Android Froyo or Android Gingerbread?

This gives you the handy ability to set different alarms for weekends and weekdays, for instance. I want to add custom features to an alarm clock in a way that it logs whether or not I press snooze every day. Is there a good open source alarm clock that I could use as a basis?
I have been trying out Voice Actions on an HTC Desire. Actions like "Navigate to...", "Directions to..." and "Note to self..." work fine. When I try saying "Set alarm to 9 o'clock" though I get this error message: "Set alarm..." In order to use this feature, download the latest Clock from the Android Market. I already have the HTC Clock application and as far as I am aware it is fully updated but I'm assuming that the HTC Clock doesn't …
My Motorola Backflip (Android 1.6) doesn't update its clock until the screen is turned on. This wouldn't be a problem except that the alarm won't go off in the morning unless I'm already up and checking my phone. This problem does not occur if the phone is charging. Is this a setting? How can I correct this?
