Why do I have duplicate contact birthdays on Android calendar?

I deleted all of my contacts from Google and from my HTC incredible so that I could reload them all in just Google. As a result, the calendar on my phone has 2 entries on the "contacts birthdays and events" calendar on my phone. The calendar in my Google account only has 1 entry. The android calendar even has a birthday for a contact I deleted. Has anyone else seen this and have a fix?

How can I not use the Facebook for HTC Sense on my HTC Incredible?

I'm trying to add my Facebook account instead of using Facebook for HTC Sense. However, when I go to Accounts & sync > Add account > Facebook, nothing happens. If I tap any other account, I get prompted for login information (or, if I'm already logged in, the ability to change settings or add a second account). I really dislike the Facebook for HTC Sense, so there's got to be a way to add my Facebook account without using Facebook …

How do I set a custom MP3 as a ringtone for other notifications?

I have an HTC Droid Incredible running Android 2.2 FroYo and would like to use custom sounds/songs as ringtones for text message notifications, event and task reminders, Facebook and Twitter notifications, and email messages. Droid Incredible - Gmail Push - Can I add my hosted Email address to Gmail on my Droid?

I have an Adroid phone and want to set it up to sync with my business email account. My account is hosted on my own domain, but we use email "provided by gmail" (gmail interface, connected to my domain). Question: can I just add this as a normal gmail account on my Droid? I tried this and my username and password don't work (which makes sense, b/c I don't have a real gmail/google account). Or, do I need to add …

Can you Modify or Increase the Size of the Recent Apps List?

I tend to rely on Recent Apps list to bounce between apps I use most often, as a sort of day-long history, for example. Is there a trick to increasing how many apps are listed in the default Recent Apps list (long-press home > Recent Apps)? I believe it's limited to 8, is there a trick/app which would increase it? Picture the PC Alt-Tab menu when you have 10+ programs open. Perhaps it makes more sense on a phone (from …

Is there a way to make my HTC-Incredible phone use the optical joystick button to wake up?

I'm still adjusting from going from my iPod to an HTC Incredible phone. One thing that is very non-intuitive for me is to press the power button when I want to "wake up the phone" after it has dimmed out. I'm just so used to using the big button on the bottom of my iPhone for this that I instinctively hit the "optical joystick" button all the time by accident. Is there any way to configure the button so the …

On the android Incredible, is there any way to make a shortcut to the "All Photos" view?

The HTC photo-album takes up an entire screen; is there a way to make a shortcut, or is there a smaller widget or app, that would open up the all-photos view? The easiest method I've found is to go in via a camera, view the albums, and select "All photos" Surely there must be a better way? I'm on the HTC Incredible running Froyo (2.2)
