It's all in the title, but again for clarity: Is there any way to make my Motorola Droid use Landscape mode on the Home Screen without sliding out the keyboard?
I have a Samsung Galaxy S and use the Swype keyboard by default (OK, I'm addicted to it). Using Swype, I can't find the backtick character, `, which limits my ability to answer questions or add comments on these SE sites. It exists in the Android keyboard, but going to Settings > Locale and text midway through entering a post is a pain, especially if I want to switch back to Swype afterwards so I have to do it twice. …
In Swype Settings I have the language set to "UK English" yet for some reason when I'm typing the currency symbol (long-press on s) is a dollar sign ($) not a pound sign (£), if I press SYM the dollar actually has its own button $ on the left-hand side, and I have Euro (€) and Yen on the top row for long presses on # and 3, and the pound is relegated to the right hand side for a …
Sometimes I type in German and sometimes in English. I seem to be only able to switch on autocompletion for one language and have to add the words of the other language one by one to the dictionary. Is there a better way for those people who are multilingual?
I am using the Swype keyboard preloaded on my at&t Captivate (Samsung Galaxy S) phone and I like it a lot. I am wondering if anyone else has this problem and if they know how to fix it? Also, is there a way for me …
A friend of mine was talking about a soft keyboard replacement for the HTC Droid Incredible and I believe that he mentioned one of the features was that it not only suggested words, but it would "learn" word combinations and suggest not only the current word, but the next word in the sentence. However, I've forgotten the name of the keyboard. Does anyone know of such a thing?
I've noticed that sometimes the virtual keyboard on my HTC Droid Eris can be very laggy. While composing a text message, it will take a second or more to respond to some button presses. Is there anything I can do to reduce the lag and make the virtual keyboard more responsive?
On my Samsung Captivate (AT&T) they have (for no reason that I can fathom) split the voice command key out of the Swype keyboard. So, I seem to have to make a choice, do I want to use swype or have easy access to my voice command mic. I was hoping there's some way to add a custom keyboard where either I designate the keys when I set it up, or (more ideally) they are already set up in the …
