I'm looking for a way of subscribing to and watching TED talk videos on the HTC Desire, but I want support for off-line viewing. The Mother TED app seems to require an active network connection, which isn't suitable since I want to be able to watch videos on the underground. There's an RSS feed of the mp4 videos here - is there anything like Google Listen that supports mp4 video?
I would like to rip and watch a DVD on my new Samsung Galaxy S (Captivate variety) handset. Sometimes I get a goofy sci-fi on Netflix that I would like to watch but the wife wouldn't bother. So I want to rip a copy to my PC and watch it later on my captivate. What is the best format/method/player for me?
I have a TiVo Series 3 and the TiVo Desktop Plus software, which I use to convert shows for playback on my iPod Touch. I'd love to find a video player that would have 30 second/commercial skip for an Android phone (future purchase). It's hard for me to adjust the slider on the video player with that degree of precision.
On an HTC Evo with Sprint, when trying to playback a video, the Youtube app regularly (always?) reports it can't play a video when I'm connected to a reliable wifi network. If I immediately turn off wifi and use only the Sprint network, it works fine. Is this really the case? If so, why?
How do you do Google talk voice and video calling from android. The google talk application only appears to allow text based chatting. But Google talk on the desktop supports both voice calling and video chat.
i currently own a HTC Wildfire. I am well aware of its "lower" CPU speed than its HTC brothers, nevertheless, it is a great phone and I'm very happy with it. I tried putting a mp4/m4p video (around 330mb) and the built-in video player crashed. Can anyone guide me on the correct format/resolution I can use on this phone? Additionally, if I do have to convert an existing video, what software do I use? I appreciate all inputs, thanks!
Galaxy-S (Vibrant), Android 2.1 I was watching Avatar the other day and paused it. When I played it again later, it restarted at the beginning. Is it possible to resume play from where I left off, or bookmark a position or something? Or is there a different/better player that does this? Thanks!
