I have setup three alarms on my HTC Desire (running standard 2.1 with Sense). Mo, Tu, We, Fr @ 05:45 Th @ 05:30 Sa @ 07:00 They are set as repeating alarms and the phone displays the little clock symbol in the top right corner indicating that an alarm is active. I have been running the phone with DeskClock activated each night and this also says that there is an alarm active for 05:45 the next morning. However I have …
On my Samsung Galaxy S Android phone: if I start a couple of apps, I can get an overview of them in the 'Active applications' icon on my first screen. Clicking this icon, shows me all active applications but allows me only to end them. I find no way to activate them. Pressing the center touchpath at the bottom displays the last 6 clicked icons - which may or may not be the ones running. F.i. if I start 6 …
I'm having trouble with my new Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant running 2.1. It constantly reboots and I'm going to return it for a replacement unit. How can I transfer all of my phone settings, contacts, apps, app settings and pictures/movies from the old phone to the new one?
I need to have the time/clock on for about 30 mins. Just the time I can see in dark. The screen doesn't turn off. Is there any application or way I can have the time on for xx minutes in case I need it? HTC Desire on Android 2.1
Has anyone noticed the problem when uploading photo's to Facebook using the Facebook for Android application ? I uploaded photo's last week , and they displayed ok in FB/Android. I did the same this weekend (uploading photo's using FB/Android), and now they are not visible in FB/Android (just showing the brown image place holder), although they are uploaded and displaying fine on FB/Windows . My collegue noticed the same here.
today I got an old HTC Magic phone with OpenEclair (Android 2.1-update) installed on it. Unfortunately there is still the Gmail account of another person linked with it, which I'd like to remove. However, for doing so, you need to do a "factory reset" on the phone. So did I, the phone rebooted, but the data (apps, settings and the account) was still there. Nothing had been removed! Anyone has an idea what could be the problem and how to …
Like lots of us, I guess, I discovered Tango today (one the greatest app !) As I own a Galaxy S, I wonder if we can use the front camera while talking. I know we can do that using the builtin visiocall app. Does anybody know the hack ? http://www.appbrain.com/app/tango-video-calls/com.sgiggle.production Thanks.
I realized that charging my HTC Desire (Android 2.1) takes longer if connected to computer compare to power outlet. Does it matter which method I use to charge in terms of battery life time?
Is there a way for WiFi-tethering without root access. I mean before Froyo. I have HTC Hero 2.1, and frankly, I don't want to root it for security reasons.
Located in China I've been waiting forever for the HTC Hero update to Android 2.1. However now everywhere around the world people are getting it. I do get the occasional update, and then I get prompted to reset the phone, however when I reset it the update does not get installed (missing update.zip on SD card?) Or maybe I have to relocate to England? Could I fake this with a VPN/proxy? If so how could I set this up? Cheers
I don't know whether installation package for different smartphones of the same OS/version is the same. But if that's not the case, mine is HTC g3. Note: I've already tried to install flash player 10.1 but failed,so I'm targeting flash lite now.
I wanted to buy some small application from the app store, it asked for my credit card information, but I was unsure whether we were working in secure mode. How can you see, during payment, whether your are working in secure mode or not ? (like the green colour in Internet Explorer).
Any thoughts on how one might clear the Android Marketplace search history? For instance, if I recently searched for an android app in the marketplace, the marketplace search maintains a history list of which apps/keywords that I have recently looked for. Thanks in advance!
I've just got my phone upgraded to Android 2.1. It's a HTC Hero running HTC Sense. One of the features I was really looking forward to in Android 2.1 was the microphone button on the keyboard which you can use to dictate into any text field. However, this button doesn't seem to be there on the HTC Sense keyboard. Is there any way to enable this?
I've just had my HTC Hero upgraded to Android 2.1, and I have heard about the Car Home function, which sounds great for when I use the new Google Maps Navigation in my car. However, this doesn't seem to be on my phone. Is that because of HTC installing HTC Sense? If so, can I get Car Home back again?
I am proud owner of Samsung galaxy 3 with android 2.1. Unfortunately it doesn't supports live wallpaper. So is there any alternatives/options for installing live wallpaper with or without rooting ? Thanks, Ankur Shah
I am using the Swype keyboard preloaded on my at&t Captivate (Samsung Galaxy S) phone and I like it a lot. My only problem is that when I try to write I I'm used to just pressing i and letting the phone capitalize it. However Swype routinely writes ki when I am trying to write I. I am wondering if anyone else has this problem and if they know how to fix it? Also, is there a way for me …
